The need for devices in grade 3 was a surprise but kinda cool. H got to do 15 mins of research today on Salmon since he and another kid were debating some particular of Salmon. They don't hav...My kids are in grade 7 and 10.. They don't have any devices (other than their phones at school). <br /><br />Brooklyn's class will be given Chrome Books after Xmas for a course. That will be the first laptop she has.<br /><br />I don't think its an "old man" symptom, I honestly don't think they need laptops at school, especially elementary school. Kids only have maybe 5 hours of teaching a day, so that time shouldn't be taken up with research.
